Tyson Beckford - The Soiree NYFW Brunch Event - Sept 7th

Enticing, Eclectic, Elegant, Entertaining, Exciting!

A pleasant stream of adjectives come to mind upon reflection of The Soiree NY Fashion Week brunch venue graciously hosted by Supermodel/Actor, Tyson Beckford.

On September 7th, The Block Association, PR did a fantastic job in organizing this event at the Pergola Restaurant on 36 W. 28th St in NYC which just happened to be an absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon. It was as if someone consulted a divination expert to select an auspicious day.  Lol!

The room was teeming with celebrities from all over the world whose personalities were downright fun and earthy. Music played in the background as beautiful models showed off various designs while maintaining a statuesque poise throughout the venue.

As I walked around and mingled, I was very pleased with the natural cordiality and coolness in the attitude that everyone had.   The Soiree can be summed up as an old classic movie line spoken by an adolescent débutant, "We had ever so much fun!"  Lol!

Now let's share in the experience! :-)

Movie Premiere: The Monuments Men

On February 4th, the Ziegfield Theatre on W. 54th Street was filled with the cast and special guests which included friends, family and other celebrities.  There were war heroes, military academies and relatives of the real 'Monuments Men' in attendance as well.

Taken from the IMDB site about "The Monuments Men" (will be in theaters, February 7th):

Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, the film is an action drama focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell, how could these guys - seven museum directors, curators, and art historians, all more familiar with Michelangelo than the M-1 - possibly hope to succeed? But as the Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind's greatest achievements.

The movie was very informative and the cast did a phenomenal job!  It would be great to see historically based films depicting stories involving diverse cultures as well.    (*.~}

I'm really trying my best not to give any spoilers so in the meantime, keep scrolling to get a virtual glimpse of the ambiance! ;-)

The 7th Annual “Where Music Meets Couture” showcase at the Maserati Showroom of Manhattan on January 30th, was hosted by Theodore Palmer, CEO/ Publicist of Creative Edge Public Relations. This venue featured an impressive assembly of infamous celebrities including professional NFL players, designers and seasoned models showing tremendous support for the The i’mME Foundation, by gracing the runways wearing neo couture collections ranging from evening to swimwear.

Taken from the website explaining the aim/vision of 'i'mME Foundation charity':
